Yvonne sat down at a table covered with several stacks of her Memoir as
soon as they came off the press—and autographed each one of them. These autographed books were for gifting and for future fund raising and donations.
I still have some of them. Proceeds from the sale of these autographed books 
will be donated to different organizations and museums that celebrate
the art of quilting. 

Yvonne Porcella was a visionary in the art quilt movement, founder of SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates) and an award-winning artist whose works are in museum collections across the U.S., including the Smithsonian Institution, de Young Museum of Art, San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles, Phoenix Art Museum, and the Museum of Arts and Design in New York. A prolific author of ten books, she tells her personal story fully for the first time here—transporting us through the early days of wearables and art quilt history to tales of family, including ancestors whose contributions to California agriculture were pivotal.  She treats the reader to her treasure-trove of experiences as a traveling quilter and teacher, and about the inspiration behind many of her quilts.
